I was once like our friend featured above. The beloved Slurms MacKenzie. He spent his life partying hard until one day when it caught up with him and he spent his last hip shakin’ moments saving the day.
RIP Slurms. You went out in a blaze of dancing glory.
While I would like to think that any of the hip shaking I did this weekend did anything to better the world, all I know for sure is that I am not as young as I used to be.
Monday, I greet you in this manner.
Please note that I am only able to say this to you today, as your pal Sunday saw a much worse version of the above.
Please tone down that super bright sunshine you have so graciously gifted us today. Even if it is only a degree or two.
No?
Okay. How about helping me to figure out how to adjust the brightness on my multiple computer monitors.
Hmmm, can’t help there either huh?
Listen, it’s rough today. You know it, and I know it. Can you cut me some slack?
What’s that? No?
Oh yeah, you’re Monday.
Jerk.
With contempt,
Bleary-eyed and Half Asleep
