Furious oceans keep us apart
Though you are near
The Storm rages
And cast like a cork on the violent tide,
I bounce from one tumultuous crest to the next
I see it, in the distance
Land. Sanctuary.
Can it be trusted?
Is it but a mirage?
Ragged and worn, I am washed ashore
Where I find you
Silent and Unmoved
The mirage disappears; the struggle for not
For in your arms, I am alone
Poignant and powerful poetry. It’s very relatable too.
