So, my WIP is all but complete and there is this little voice in the back of my mind saying, “Grimes….you know your mother cannot read this, right?”

It was actually my brother’s voice and he was saying, “I can’t wait to read your book, but you’re gonna have to redact all the sex parts.”

This novel may, or may not, have one or two (or way more than that) steamy scenes.

Now, don’t misunderstand, my brother is not a prude, he just doesn’t want to know that his little sister knows what she knows.  Ya know?

At first I was very much of the opinion that he should read it just as it was written or never read it at all.  But then, as I was working on it, I read some of those scenes and thought, ‘My brother’s gonna read this?  Yeesh.’

So I spent a little time working on the draft today, and I am happy to announce, there is a redacted copy of the manuscript heading my brother’s way this evening.

We can all breathe a sigh of relief.

Now I just have to worry about the few of my friends whom I will have to look in the eye…

But that sounds like a tomorrow problem.
