When I started writing again, back in September of 2017, I sat down and penned a disturbing story about workplace obsession.
I worked on it over the course of a few months and eventually, with the encouragement of my support system of friends and family, I put it through the rigours of editing and submitted it to a number of competitions and magazines.
I have written about various rejections on this site and among them, have been rejections on this piece.
I talk a lot about throwing things at the wall to see what will stick, but there comes a time when you have to take the reigns for yourself and move your career forward.
I took the step earlier this year to self-publish under the pen name, Caycie Thompson.
I have now decided that it is time for me to do the same for Abigail Grimes.
So, without further adieu, I give you, The Violence of Fire.
I hope you will download a copy and let me know what you think!

Phillip loves Brianne and everything about her. He loves the way she walks, the way she talks and of course that body. Attending to her every wish as her right-hand brings Phillip joy, but he needs more. Much more.
Brianne, a brilliant rising star at a downtown law firm, balances the stresses of her day with the solitude of her country home and the loving arms of her husband Hugo.
Phillip will push the limits of sanity to claim her for his own and prove he is willing to do whatever it takes to make Brianne see they are meant to be together.
The Violence of Fire is a chilling tale of obsession and fear.
One you won’t soon forget.
