I am sitting on my front porch, watching the robins in my neighbourhood having their nightly feast.
It is really quite remarkable to behold. They aren’t simply hopping around and pecking at the ground for a quick meal of worms or low laying insects. These birds are engaged in some very impressive aerial gymnastics as they pluck June bugs right out of the air.
It’s very entertaining. So much so, I find myself writing about them instead of working on the Work in Progress I was supposed to be working on.
If a writer can classify staring off into the distance as work, I can definitely call this working!
Better luck next time concentration!
Is it wrong that I am imagining zombie birds flying willy nilly looking for bug prey? 😉
