3 Whole Years

Leather or Crystal?

Happy Anniversary Everybody!

According to the interwebs, the tradition gift for 3 years is leather, so I may have to commemorate this occasion with the purchase of a leather notebook. One was gifted to me a little while ago, but I couldn’t then, and honestly still can’t, bring myself to deface it. Perhaps if I purchase it myself I will…but who knows.

On the other hand, the modern gift is crystal, so perhaps I could get myself one of those fancy decanters and fill it with bourbon? They (theknot.com) say crystal is the perfect gift because the relationship is maturing, yet fragile. I think that description very much describes my writing career at this stage, so fancy crystal thingy might just be the way to go!

I started this site 3 years ago and began documenting my first foray into the world of Nanowrimo, and my rediscovery of my passion for writing. And you came along with me on the journey, listening to my kooky takes on naps, my perhaps surprising interest in Kdramas and their love stories, and, of course, the joy and pain of the writing, editing, and querying process.

You were with me as I daydreamed out loud, took a leap and tried my hand at poetry, and you were the first to hear about projects that transformed from ideas to self published works available in libraries, book shops, and online retailers!

If you haven’t checked out my books, The Violence of Fire or For The Quiet, you can order your signed copies from my store by clicking here. If you are looking for ebook versions, you can grab your copy here.

Thank you for letting me share this journey with you. I hope it’s been as fun for you as it has been for me, and I hope you stick around to see where we go from here!
